Hi,

STS-130 was the last night-time launch of the shuttle.
Now just a few more trips. May be we will see some spectacular developments in the future. I wonder how this will affect the job market in the coming few years.

Future missions:

Quote:STS-131
The STS-131 mission of space shuttle Discovery will deliver a multi-purpose logistics module filled with science racks to be transferred to laboratories on the International Space Station.

STS-132
The STS-132 mission of space shuttle Atlantis will deliver an Integrated Cargo Carrier and a Russian-built Mini Research Module to the International Space Station.

STS-134
The STS-134 mission of space shuttle Endeavour will deliver spare parts to the International Space Station.

STS-133
The STS-133 mission of space shuttle Discovery will deliver the Express Logistics Carrier 4 and critical spare components to the International Space Station.

Shuttle fleet; one of the best, shall I say, the best engineering marvel ever.
Discuss...
CNN was mentioning today morning that hundreds of people are being laid off from the shuttle program. I am sure most of them will end up getting jobs. But what about the contractors and other suppliers? Does anyone have a good statistics on that?
